Better together: How joining our network can drive your Trust’s digital transformation

< Return to the insights hub

At Mizaic, we’re more than the medtech software we offer. Our people truly understand the NHS, and our network drives a connected ecosystem to help Trusts around the country learn from each other, propelling their digital efforts. Here, our transformation lead Siobhan Whitney outlines how being part of our network can help CIOs and healthcare professionals come together, paving the way for stronger digital transformation.

With Lord Darzi’s latest independent review into the state of the NHS, and Keir Starmer's pledge to accelerate the move ‘from an analogue to a digital NHS’, the call for a digitally transformed healthcare system has never been louder. And while a significant part of digital adoption is the technology at hand, we believe community and collaboration play a pivotal role in moving Trusts towards full interoperability.

With you from day one

Trusts navigating digital transformation can be left to plan and deliver complex projects independently. But by joining Mizaic, you’ve got our people in your corner from day one. Our partnership-like approach starts from the very beginning: going beyond mapped solutions to build an electronic document management system (EDMS) around your specific requirements. For instance, if you choose to transform your patient records with our EDMS MediViewer, our team collaborates with you to deliver a software solution that fits your strategic goals. Our hands-on support includes business and clinical workflow mapping in collaboration with clinical, operational, and administrative teams, bespoke training plans and delivery according to your needs, as well as on-site collaboration and engagement with clinicians. This is about more than just getting the technology running – we work together to create something that meets your Trust’s exact needs, delivering real lasting value.

Ongoing support long before your go-live

We don’t disappear after your implementation – we’re with you every step of the way. Once you’re live with MediViewer, we provide continuous support through regular service reviews and quarterly business reviews (QBRs). Our dedicated customer experience team will check in 90 days following your go-live date to review how well your Trust’s solution is working and make any necessary adaptations. This two-way process focuses on transformation, as opposed to simply installation, to ensure your EDMS evolves alongside your healthcare needs.

Our commitment doesn’t stop there. Our two-way communication and check-in points are a core part of our service, ensuring we continue adding value to your solution.  For example, during discussions with a Trust’s senior CIO (an early MediViewer adopter), they identified the need for bespoke clinical photography management software to work with their new electronic patient record (EPR) system. Working together, we solved the problem by unlocking existing infrastructure within MediViewer, enhancing patient care, clinician efficiency, and safeguarding compliance.

Your direct input into product roadmaps

It’s vital for us that our clients have the opportunity to influence the future direction of our products. This way, we can refine our technology, making it even more responsive to real-world clinical needs, and ensuring those at the heart of digital transformation within the NHS have software that makes a true difference to patient outcomes. Through our quarterly business reviews and advisory groups, CIOs and digital leaders can contribute directly to our product roadmap, shaping how tools such as MediViewer develop to meet the demands of the healthcare landscape.

Bringing our community together

We believe learning from like-minded peers is crucial in driving transformation and assured change, so one of the cornerstones of our approach is a commitment to fostering a collaborative community. We facilitate this network in several ways:

  • Health Records Showcase: For the past two years we’ve partnered with customers to run our Health Records Showcase events, connecting medical record teams from across the NHS to discuss their own digitisation programmes. These invaluable days give access to others doing the same job as you, the challenges they face, experience gained, and useful insights to inspire and guide other Trusts.

  • User groups: Once a year, we bring together MediViewer users to have their say on the software, connecting digital teams responsible for rolling out solutions and offering a space to share experiences, challenges, and successes.

  • Clinical advisory groups (CAGs): To find out what will truly make a difference in different hospitals, we invite CIOs to be part of our CAGs through face-to-face meetings in London and separate individual calls. This information goes back into our product roadmap, shaping our software to align with the practical needs of the NHS.

  • Clinical feedback days: As well as our CAGs, we regularly conduct clinical feedback days, where our team goes directly to Trusts to collect feedback from those using MediViewer in wards and clinics on a daily basis.

  • Exclusive social networks: In the future, we plan to launch private online forums for healthcare professionals, including medical records teams, digital leads, and CIOS. These forums will offer a dedicated space for sharing insights, discussing challenges, and exploring solutions. Based on strong interest in collaboration at our recent events, we’re keen to create a platform where our customers can continue to exchange valuable experiences and ideas.

Don't take the digital journey alone

As part of Mizaic’s network, healthcare leaders are not only equipped with the tools to revolutionise the clinician : patient experience, they also have the support and community needed to overcome challenges and drive digital transformation far more efficiently than pushing ahead alone.

If we’re to truly address the concerns raised in Lord Darzi’s review, including outdated technology and lagging care standards, we need to embrace a future built on collaboration – one centred on partnership, innovation, and shared success. That’s what we’re building with Mizaic’s network, and I feel strongly that this community will help lead the way toward a digitally advanced, patient-centric NHS.

If your Trust is considering its next steps in digital transformation and wants support, reach out to learn how we can build a holistic solution around your exact requirements.
